This fourth and final Walktober webinar includes welcome remarks from MDOT Secretary Greg Slater and the session will share information about the many local walk initiatives in Maryland, how they function and how other communities can learn from their successes. Cara Rozaieski, Tracey Greene Gordy, Sandra Brecher, and Chris Eatough will also share what local communities are doing to inspire new thinking and action and get more people walking in Maryland.
As many states ease restrictions by moving from “Stay at Home” to “Safer at Home” orders, one thing that really hasn’t changed is that walking and other non-contact outdoor physical activities are important to our health and well-being, and can be done safely with a few precautions. Here are some tips to stay safe while walking.
